A bundle of 100 $100 bills is approximately 2.5" x 6" x 0.5". Briefcases are usually ~25" x 18" x 4" (10 bills by around 3 bills by pretty thin). So something like 10x3x8 = 240 bundles of bills, at $10,000 per bundle, for a grand total of $2.4 million.
$1-$2 million easily fits into into a moderately sized briefcase.
A thin attache' case is 18"x12"x4.5" or so, which is 6x2x8 = 96 bundles, or $960,000.
